Equality Statement
As part of the Wood Farm Federation, The Slade Nursery School and Day Nursery is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents, and carers, irrespective of race, sex, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, age, or socio-economic background. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which everyone feels proud of their identity and able to participate fully in nursery life.

Public Sector Equality Duty: In line with the Equality Act 2010, we will:

- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
- Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
Equality Objectives (2024–2027):
- Improve accessibility and participation for pupils with SEND across all aspects of school life.
- Narrow attainment gaps between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.
- Promote positive attitudes and understanding of diversity through the curriculum and school events.
