Slade Early Years Centre and Day Nursery (day care setting):
The Day Nursery Ofsted covers the 'Day Nursery' with children from the ages of 6 months to 5 years. Slade Day Nursery Ofsted Unique Reference Number: EY276613
In May 2024, the Slade Day Nursery was judged 'Good' in all areas.
Slade Nursery School (maintained nursery school):
The nursery school Ofsted covers Oak, Willow and Cherry Class, with children from the ages 2 to 3 years.

In our most recent inspection in May 2021 (which was a section 8 inspection to monitor if the school continues to be 'outstanding') Ofsted found the Nursery School continues to be 'outstanding.'

Staff have created a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment in which children of all ages thrive.
Staff thread high quality support for children's language development into all aspects of nursery life.
Mealtimes are social occasions, used well to promote independence. Key-person arrangements are very effective in enhancing children's sense of belonging and safety
Partnerships with parents are a real strength of the nursery. Right from the start, staff build meaningful relationships with parents and keep them very well informed about their children's progress.
In the Nursery School...
Children are thriving at this happy nursery school. They cannot wait to begin their day and arrive eager and ready to learn.
Leaders have high ambition for every child to develop a love of learning and achieve exceptionally well. They make sure that all children, irrespective of their starting points, are very well prepared for starting school.
Children behave extremely well. Staff model kindness and care deeply about every child.
Staff are proud to belong to this vibrant nursery. They work together as a tight-knit team where ‘everyone looks after each other’. Strong teamwork and shared high aspirations for the children in this community are pivotal to the success of this school.
The very well-appointed outdoor area is a hive of activity. Children love exploring out here, whatever the weather.
